Bob M, Thanks for your input. When you say "starting valves" you are referring to the compression release valves actuated by the linkage inside the valve cover correct? The manifold valves on the motor are a little sticky. I know they need to come out and be cleaned but feel they are opening and closing properly with a little persuasion. Lastly, I am fearful to take the carb apart since I have not been able to find a kit to rebuild it just in case I trash the gaskets. I understand it will ultimately have to come apart but would like to find the parts before I tear into it. Any other advice you may have would be appreciated based on this info. Thanks again.
