HI, There is a linkage system behind the intake manifold that controls the butterflies in the manifold, the linkage must go overcenter when on gas,it can stick and not go all the way. I have a WD9 that will do this ocasionally and it will not start on gas. You can see the link and how it works with the hood off, and have someone move the control. I pulled mine a 1/2 mile before i learned what was going on. Good Luck,
