There have been a couple of posts here about a proposed law in Michigan that would require roll bars and seat belts on all tractors. Incidents like these are the reason behind it. When this happens to a young operator, it's easy to blame inexperience. A 70 year old man should have had plenty of experience, or else he had no business getting on the tractor in the first place. I'm no fan of putting roll bars on old tractors, but the fact is that IF the tractor had a roll bar, and IF the operator was buckled into his seat, there's a good chance the old timer would still be around today.
