Are You Going To Vote? WHY?

Some of the reasons and how we ended up with the electoral college.
At the time of its birth they said the common man was too stupid to properly vote. They said highly educated leaders of the community would represent.
They said high population areas could sway the elections. My opinion; I think it was a process for the rich or in charge to keep control of the country.
I think it needs to be repealed if thats the origin.
I think its where the masses are anyway. If NY FL TX and CAL have the most electoral then the high pop areas have it anyway. I've never seen a candidate wooing N/S Dakota.
If a candidate wins with the electoral but loses with the populace what good is your vote? Who are you letting vote for you?
