What's with some tractor sellers ???

I responded to a tractor add in the classifieds,
the guy said,I don't really want to put a price on it,I guess I'm taking offers,Think I'll put
some pictures on the internet,then he told me
what he thought it was worth,but he wouldn't sell
it for that now.I don't like to make offers,they
just use you to make someone else bid more.I made
an offer on a tractor last year,the guy sold it
for 50 bucks more to someone else.I would have
gave a thousand more but he never called me back like he said he would.
