works both ways... had a local guy advertise a nice outfit "asking $6400", so I'd have paid $7000 but I offered $6000. He says no so I figure he was "asking" a price to come down a little. I offer $6200 thinking he would meet me half way. No dice- so I said let me sleep on it. That was 9pm Sunday night, I called hime the next morning at 10am to let him know I had a check in hand for $6400. Nope sold it to someone else. So I said, if he isn't real serious about that exact outfit, I'd like to buy it off him for $6700. Seller wouldn't even pass my name along. Why? He got exactly what he wanted out of it. Why not at least give the next guy the option?
