I remember watching my Dad shop for a car. "What's your offer?", the salesman asked. "YOU'RE the one selling. What's your price?", my Dad countered. "Well, I'll entertain any offer you wish to make!", the salesman said. "I didn't come here to entertain you. Come on son, let's go elsewhere.", Dad said. That salesman followed Dad all the way off the car lot trying to get him to stay and "dicker". An hour later, Dad deliberately drove back by that car-lot, blew the horn of our new Chrysler and waved at the astonished salesman as we kept on travellng! (At least I THINK he waved. Dad's hand was out of my sight above the roof of the car and I can only ASSUME his palm was flat.) ;Þ
