On November 18, 2017 a fellow came, looked at and tried out a WD45 I had for sale. We agreed on the price and he gave me $500. down and was to return with the balance of the money and pick up the tractor and equipment 2 weeks from that day. I have not been able to contact him by phone or anyone who knows him. I feel like I have completed my part of the deal and he is in default, but I don't think he's due any return on his money if he does show up in the future. For all I know he may be either dead or in jail (haven't heard or read about it in the paper). I know he's has a family and some small kids so I would probably give him his money back, but I can't wait forever. Question is 1: should I keep holding onto it & if so, how long. 2: Should I go ahead and sell it again and keep the money that he put down on it or 3: Should I sell it and keep his down payment just in case he does show up some day.
