I agree. CaCl has a specific gravity of 2.1, more than twice that of water per unit of measurement. A common mix is 50/50; the specific gravity of the solution is then about 1.5. Or another way to look at it is that one gallon of water weighs 8.3 lbs., one gallon of 50/50 CACl/H2O solution weighs about 12.5 lbs.
