I read a lot of negative things below about Chevy. Diesels below, first off. I believe that if the guy that runs a diesel doesnt now how to maintain a machine shouldnt own one my 6.2 Chevy. 1982 has 280,000 miles on it shes a little rusty, and has a few dents but the motor hold 60 to 80 psi on the oil, She used up one pump, and a rack of plugs but thats it, I know of a guy in MN. That has over 350,000 on his 84 now dont forget this is cold weather country. As far as a converted gas forget it simply not true this 370 cid engine was built from the ground up. I noticed Richies posting this guy knows his stuff. PLUS...The original 5.7 Chevys were of the gas family and redesigned to run diesel. Afterwards when everyone got sick and tired of replacing crankshafts at 75,000 miles they designed the 6.2 and that was blueprinted from the ground up to be a true diesel. NO gas conversion on this one or its sister engines the 6.5. Richie We will see for those who neglect these Dodge and Ford engines crying in a few years saying what junk they are, you can mark my words!
