Mike The new diesel will be a v-8 just like someone stated before. It's called the duramax engine and I had the specs on it that I had run off on the printer somewhere here online but ended up sending them off to my buddy who's dad runs a gm dealership. They didn't even have a clue as to what this engine was going to perform like. My friend explained to me that gm keeps them in the dark to the very last moment on things. He said the general public knows more than the dealers do about new releases. I can remember this much though. It will have more hp and torque than the ford and the dodge. According to the charts. I personally believe though that the cummins is still going to be able to outpull it on the lower bogging down rpm's. That is one advantage to the straight 6. I'll see if I can't find those specs again and list them here. From what I saw it's going to be a very impressive engine. Especially with the option to bolt up an allison automatic behind it. God I hope they beefed up the differentials and u-joints. Richie
