i am a heavy equipment feild mecanic and put 150,000 miles on an 84k-30 with a 6.2. it was a good engine in a half ton pickup, not in a work truck. 4 head gaskets, 1 pump. Now i have a 3500hd with a 6.5 [6 horsepower 5 ftpds torque] also a hell of an engine in a pickup that doesent haul anything,102,000 miles, 1 complete head, 1 head gasket,1 pump, 1 computer, 4 alternators. an isuzu may be a step in the right direction but why a v-8, when was the last time you saw a v-8 in an over the road truck? my 2 cents.
