OT Caravan Oli plug

I just bought a 2001 Grand Caravan today. (about to have my third girl child, everyone pray for me)(6 proms 3 weddings etc...) Anyway trouble with the van...
I got under it to change the oil, and I cannot get the oil plug out. The wrench slipped off, I put real Vise Grips on it, very tight, and it slips off the plug. Is that oil pan plastic? Anyone have an idea how I can get this plug out so i can change the oil and replace it? Rob
