Can't help with the plug removal as there are many ways to do that but: when and if you get it out weld an old 1/2"drive Socket to it and the next time use your Rachet for what should be an easy out for that drain plug.I did that to the Crankcase plug on my Cherokee and also the Tranny plug on my Ford Truck.Works good.John
