If you can get the oil plug out (better vise grip chisel et..) you might be OK even if it is cross threaded. When I changed the oil on my 2004 Taurus for the first time I found the last guy had cross threaded the plug. But I was pleasently surprised to find the threads in the pan were fine, apparently Ford got smart and started making the plugs from softer metal then the pan threads. The replacement plug turned in with no problems. I don't think Dodge is as smart as Ford but you never know.
