I am currently looking for a tractor in the 50-60 hp range to use for haying and manure loading. Are diesel engines significantly more fuel efficient (taking into consideration the difference in price of off road diesel and gas)? I have been led to believe that diesels are a lot more costly to have work done on than gas engines. Do these two factors cancel each other out or is one fuel the way to go. There seems to be a lot of gas tractors around in this hp range that fit my budget, but I don't want to cheap out now only to end up spending more in the long run. I am currently looking at a JD3010g, a AC170g, and an Oliver 1650d. Right now I have a couple of JD A all fuels. Thanks
