Of course an updated 3010 will be better but speaking from experience both the 3010 & 3020 gas were not good luggers. Also if the 170 had ever been overhauled it would have a 175 kit installed. Taking handiness and fuel economy and startability into account I stand by my choice of the 170 over the 3010 and 1650 considering his intended use of the tractor. Hands down!
