I know this is suppost to be tractor talk, but you have to take them to shows with something, so there!! I read the post on Commins vs. Powerstroke, which brings me to a question about buying pick-up truck with a diesel engine. Now these engines were a good idea when diesel fuel was only 1/2 the price of gas. Now, however, it is almost the same price as gas. Another problem I have seen is that parts such as a starter for a diesel is $700 when you can pick one up for a gas engine for $50. Don't get me wrong, for tractors, larger trucks, and other equiptment, the diesel engine beats gas hands down, but for something like a one-ton truck, is it really that much of advantage?
