My brother in law did some reading up on the differnce between gas and diesel. Most of the test results on current models were that you will have to drive a diesel 80,000 miles before it will start saving you in expenses. That is why he decided to go with a V-10 Ford. He has gotten 17 mpg empty and 10 to 12 loaded. He has been satisfied with his selection. Another factor to consider nowadays is that oil companies are under pressure from the goverment to produce sulfur free diesel fuel by 2006. The last word that I recieved, is that oil companies are not sure they can even produce it. Funding research may be the reason for higher diesel prices. Correct me if I am wrong.
