It has a 2 1/2 in wide flywheel, 21in dia A2117R is stamped on the back of the pedestal The pedistal has 3 bolt holes on each side of it for the grill The grill I have has 4 holes for mounting to the side of the pedestal The grill has 7 bars each. The grill has an old stencel of a black circle with a yellow A in the middle of it. The gear shift has 2 above 1 on the R side with R on the left. The H-L lever above that is for the high low shift.
When i bought it, the guy said they had bought it as a second tractor so as to have parts to rebuild his dads 42 A. They had used one brake only. They decided to rebuild this one also, but his dad died, and that ended that. Im assumeing the 39s grill is now on the 42, and I have the 42s 4 hole grill. Its in fine shape other than the wire mesh was bad in between one bar each at the bottom. I found a company that makes wire mesh just like it and they made me 2 panels, but I guess they cant work if, as someone says I should be able to bolt up the panels with no problems with the grill wire attached?? Cant see how.
