I do all my square hay with a 273 and have no complaints at all. I may only bale 2000 to 3000 a year with it but the only time it might miss a bale is when it changes rolls of twine. Several times I have baled 1200 in a day and only missed a bale when changing twine. Good solid baler, I run mine behind 105hp so I have to keep shear bolts on hand all the time. I wouldn't even consider buying another brand of small square baler. I just make sure it is always kept in the dry and keep it greased and the chains oiled. And also keep the knives sharp. I think I have an extra owners manual for a 273 if you need one. I'll take a look and send it if you want. Jay
