I have a few questions regarding brewers grain. My dad is a livestock dealer and we always have some steers around the place. We are not really looking to fatten them up we are just trying to maintain weight before he sells them to the slaughter house or another buyer. Currently they get free choice hay and then straight cracked corn. We buy the corn and with the price of corn right now I was wondering if I could stretch the corn by mixing it with dried brewers grain. We live fairly close to an ethanol plant. I worked at a farm that used wet distillers grain as part of the ration but we would not go through it quick enough. My questions are how long would it keep and could I just mix it with cracked corn. Also do you have to worry about giving it to sheep or goats as we have some sheep and goats from time to time and my uncle sometimes will give them a little.
