My ewes eat 2 ton a month, some are on full feed with cornstalks free choice. Dry DDG will keep indefinitely as long as its kept dry. DDG's have high levels of sulfur,(sheep need sulfur to produce wool) that is why the recommendations are less than 30% of the finished ration per hd per day for cattle. You don't want to feed momma cows nursing calves too much or the sulfur will cause scours in the calves. Feeding DDG's at a high rate, 50% of the ration, for a short time will not cause any problems, feeding it too long without proper supplementation (thiamine) will cause alot of headaches, pun intended. Lots of information out there on DDG's in cattle rations, just google it. DDG's will not cause acidosis, there isn't any starch (carbs) in it. Nate
