In 1981 while in school I bought a 67 Chevy impala with a 283 power glide. It would go 75 MPH in first gear when you shifted into high it felt like a downshift! The car was rusted and dented up. I drove if for a year and gave it back to dad. He drove it to work for the next three years. We gave $89.00 for that car at a used car clearance sale. It was a dream to work on, especially the little door in the distributor cap to adjust the points.
