Does the 1209 have a lock that keeps it up for transport or does the hydraulic cylinder keep it up. If the cylinder is not holding the weight of the Mow/Cond up you can change the hose ends or do what you want without loosing much fluid. Just make sure the cylinder has no mechanical pressure on it. You don't have to bleed anything, it will work the air out once you start using it. If you are not sure about what to do, repost your questions. Hope this helps, good luck.
