I have a mile long driveway to plow snow....Michigan....right near the shoreline, so sometimes get alot of snow. My regular plow guy retired last year. He plowed with a former road commission truck and did a good job. I thought a tractor might be the answer. My grandaddy used to plow snow with a army surplus Case. But some of the articles in the archives lead me to believe a tractor might not get the job done. I just saw a '79 GMC 1-ton 4wheel drive with 7 1/2 ft plow that runs good for only $1300. Maybe a truck would be better. Sure would appreciate advice and opinions.
