My brother recently picked up a supposedly 55 GMC 4x4 half ton. The title says 1955, but the VIN on the title matches the data plate and states that it is a 1957. Anyway, the serial is 101-8 P T showing that the truck is a half ton 101 inch wheelbase 8 cylinder, Pontiac Michigan made 1957 model. Any opinions on this trade?
He was told by a street source that less than 700 of them were made. Is it actually rare or is someone pulling his leg?
