So my mother thought she would try to jump start my JD4020. Well she conected pos of a truck to neg on the left side battery and neg on truck to pos on left side battery
Cable got REALLY hot enough for her to complain about the burn on her finger.
Well now the tractor won't start. Starter doesn't attempt to turn over. I am assuming the silenoid(sp?) is right on top of the starter(the Pos from battery runs to it and then out of another terminal to starter.
Well the only sound I am getting is a 2 inch long 2 inch wide round object clicks rapidly. This thing has 4 posts and a number of differnt wires running to it. It is not sitting onthe starter silenoid assembly but about 4 inches away on the engine side of the fire wall....
Any ideas? Simple as low batteries or something more troublesome/expensive....
