I posted this over on classic trucks,but I don't know if it's a classic or not. I changed the sensor and relay on my 85 Ford 6.9 diesel pickup last summer. The glowplugs all check out OK. It starts better than it did,but still nothing like it should. I think the problem is with the plastic wire connectors where they hook to the plugs. They're loose as a goose. I took them off today and cleaned them up with brake cleaner and it helped some,but I don't think they're making enough contact to get the plugs hot yet. Has anybody else run in to this? How about cutting the ends off and finding some new ones that will slide over the spades on the plugs?
