A local used car dealer here has decided he is going to sell tractors. He has a brand called "Branson", which, according to him, are Japanese engines and parts assembled in Korea. He says the smaller ones have Mitsubishi engines, and the larger ones have Yanmar's. He swears that they are not grey, and do appear to have ROPS, PTO shields, Ag. Tires (not rice treads), and standard sized wheels. When asked more specific questions, like do they have "live" PTO, or 2 stage clutches, or Cat 1 - 3 points, this guy is clueless. This IS my opinion, but I think this is almost tragic: People who do not know will buy these units, and someday be laughed at when parts or repair are required. Repair manuals are not even available. I think about how I may have never figured out how to cure the lift hiccups on my Ford without both Bern's advice here, and my Ford/NH Repair Manual. Buyer Beware!! My opinion (and some bitching, I guess) Tommy D.
