i do have a grey market unit - an iseki. i concur with the fact that an owner does need to extend himself to find oil filters and so on. the units are however, reliable and functional with regard to pto speed, direction and 3 pt attachments.

as with any purchase, it's "buyer beware." buyers need to observe the usual cautions in this regard. your assertion that these units are "frankenstein" is way overboard. i'd much rather buy a used grey market tractor - most have minimal hours (mine had 389 hrs) than a used two or three year old car.
