IH 574 with stuck clutch

I have a buddy at work who needs help with is IH 574. The clutch is stuck adn we can"t figure out how to get it free. The last time he just pulled it and it popped free no such luck this time. Can anyone help. I told him to trade in on a JOHN DEERE Thanks
