Brake clean has worked well for me too. You could use or make a punch of sorts and tap the pressure plate to help loosen it. Had to do this twice on a Ford 7700 I got last fall. Using it on the round baler this summer hoping to get everything polished up. Better believe I'm going to wire the clutch pedal down this winter when I park it.
