If you decided to convert the H over to 12, it shouldn't be very hard. I have done this before (a long time ago) with several M's and a few H's. Only difference was I used the alternator because it was a lot easier, and fit into the plans for the customers and family a lot better. Don't forget about the starter. You will need to convert it also or it will not last very long once you start using it. Good luck with your project.
