Heard of zapping nicad flashlight batteries with a short 3-5second hit from a car battery, but not car batteries. One of those 'weird science' websites did suggest a homemade charger that let out an intermittent 30v 'pulse' might work. Oversimplified, I think it was basically a 120-30v transformer with a half-wave rectifier bridge. But you wouldn't want to leave some gadget like that on a battery for very long, or you'll have a mess. Car batteries can explode and spray acid everywhere. So, better to just replace it.
