Need sediment bowl help!

I need help getting the glass bowl part of the sediment bowl off of my cub cadet 102. Looks to be the factory bowl. This sat for a number of years before I got it and the tank, bowl, carb... basicly the entire fuel system was gummed up. the bowl is has a bunch of gummy fuel and dirt stuck to the bottem of it and I can't get it off. Does the bowl spin off or what? Mike.
