Here is what I do. There.... that is the disclamer part. Be careful of your paint with this one but it gets anything with varnish loose. I use MEK from the paint store. That is Methyl Ethyl Keytone. I pour some in and let it set in the bowl like several others have told you to do. It will take off any paint you have in the area so be very careful! I had to romove 15 years of gas out of an old Mall saw with this methhod. Took about three hours but got everything sqweeky clean. Jeffcat
