Ok...
How come our Congress can regulate everything from prescription drugs to cable television- but their hands are tied when it comes to an affordable price for gasoline and diesel? I've been told that, because EPA regulations are so unforgiving, a number of small refineries had to close their doors because it was not profitable for them to revamp their operation to meet the standards. The same person told me that there are only 5 or 6 big refineries left, producing fuel from crude oil.
