Watch out for the big green Murrys that have a John Deere sticker. Made as a cheap line for Home Depot a genuine JD cost more but is heavier made.
I have a Huskavarna with a Kawasaki 18hp, 48" deck. Nice mower, eng is said to be 2nd only to Honda. I paid $2600 but I've seen them cheaper since then ( I'm always the sucker who pays and then shops)
