I did check to see if I was getting power to the plug by removing one plug and with the plug out turning the ignition on...it sparked when I touched itto ground. Probably not the best way to do it, but I know I had power to it. The indicator coil would warm up, too hot to touch, but not glowing red. I will try doing as you said and let the plug warm up to glowing. Thanks.
