I am working on a ford series 800 model 850. front mounted hydraulic pump, it is a gear pump I have 3 pumps two are right hand and one is left hand they are all Prince pumps. the pump that the guy that I bought the tractor from had installed a left hand pump. the crankshaft rotates clock wise. if I remember right on a gear pump the oil enters into the large port and is pushed thru the gears and out the small port. PLease correct me if I am wrong. so if you have left hand pump turning clock wise you will be trying to tack a sucktion on the discharge side. right or wrong??? thanks for your help Jer
