This is the third one he has had. He traded in a '88. I don't know how many miles it had on it, but it had to be a bunch. He never had any out of the ordinary trouble with it. I am hoping it is just a fluke. My sister had a relatively new Explorer that blew an engine at 30,000 miles. Ford didn't want to replace it at first, but finally did after they kept it about 2 months. She had it back for about 3 months when the new engine started acting up. She promptly traded it in on a Chevy.
