Sounds like someone who knows your parents and the area. We live in an adult retirement community, where anyone under 55 is suspect. People are quick to call the police and get them checked out, especially after someone's grandson came to visit and committed a couple burglaries while he was here. We try not to keep anything of value in our house. TV and stereo are old, no money in the house, no guns, and I made all of our furniture of my own special designs that they couldn't fence, etc. Someone stole my good hand tools about 12 years ago, so I replaced them with cheap tools of lesser value. They could enter, but the neighbors are very watchful and what they could cart off probably wouldn't be worth the effort.
