From my understanding, Target did this because so many other charities wanted to solicit there also. Sounds like they wanted to avoid other groups crying discrimination. Salvation Army is a great organization , but I am sure there are less reputable charities out the asking for money, too. Frankly, I cannot blame stores for banning charities from the front doors. The grocery stores around here almost always have people out front asking for money. Even if you give going in, they expect you to give more on the way out. I help a few good causes, but only ones that I am sure are legitimate.
