Personnally I always hated those bell ringers. If you are married and have "joined" your wife in a day of Christmas shopping you are forced to walk by these folks 5,6 7 times a day, how many of the kettles do you toss to? If you put into the first one do you need to put into the others? You have already given. I know that the Salvation Army exists to help the unfortunate and what some of may consider unsavory characters and we do need these charities. The Army is sometimes not to discriminating on who they allow to man their buckets and I have seen a few really aggresive bell ringers. I give to charity at church I participate in the local food drives but I don't like being accosted while shopping. I prefer to keep my giving in the community instead of national or international charities.
