Maybe you should read the pictures on your link - you will note, I hope, that the battery live is connected to the same terminal as you are using and the other end of the other terminal you are using is connected to the field windings. As the resistance and therefore the voltage and therefore the current will be the same and in the same direction, there will not be the slightest difference. QED.
