Get with a IH dealer parts man, who will take the time to help you a little. The suction filter has had an update and now uses late part # filter inserts. Buy the update parts, change the filters, change the oil, and most of all, pay close attention to the cover, cover gasket, and the bolts. Clean out the holes with a tap, remove any burrs from cover and case face, install cover and bolts with even tightness. Been there, and went through this with my IH 340 U
