Sorry to come in on this so late, but was searching on information on a Jeep belt pulley and found this exchange. Check out our site at www.farmjeep.com for lots of information. I owned an 8N, but had to trade up at the time for '64 4000 so I could bale hay. Like the N, Jeeps are the perfect "tractor" for some jobs. Hope you bought the Jeep!

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
