I had rather find a farmer that wanted to sell a piece of equipment and deal directly with him. Auctions are designed to get people to pay more than they would ordinarily pay for an item. Sometimes emotions run high. I have even bought stuff just to beat another bidder. Rediculous, I know. That's why I quit going to auctions years ago. I agree, there are fake bidders posted through out the crowd.
