Well I decided to raise my own beef, one only per year. I've had some experience with cattle so I'm not completely green, maybe light green but diffently not dark green and only between the ears :) My plan: buy a 200lb to 400lb steer ? hefer? in the fall and corn/wheat feed for 6 months then butcher. suggestions? I'm in Arizona so we get a good winter growing season. A 20ft x 20ft pin, to big? to small? I figure about 25lbs of grain/day? or? suggestions? Raise my corn/wheat for feed. What do I need to do to the corn to get the cow to eat it? dry it? how? or can I feed it green? suggestions? What kind of corn grinder? Well thats enough dumb questions to keep me thinking for awhile! T_Bone
